Most visitors to Bibbys Farm would have met Charlie, our Centre Manager’s Son who was famous for chasing people around in his electric wheelchair and in summer, no-one could escape from being squirted with his water pistol. He also used to take great delight in waiting on the pedal car track for people to start and take great delight in beating them to finish driving around the circuit.
Sadly, after a short illness, he passed away at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool on the evening of Saturday, 7th March.
Charlie’s parents have asked for donations instead of flowers at the funeral to be made towards the new Climbing Tower project at Bibbys Farm. This latest project aims to replace the existing climbing wall, crate stack and aerial runway facilities with a brand new combined structure that not only will improve all those activities but for the first time also be able to offer young people with additional needs the ability to take part.
This was really important to Charlie that people like him could do as much as anyone else.
Donations in Charlie’s memory can be made in any of the following ways.
Please mark your donation as being in Charlie’s memory and also, please indicate if we can also claim gift-aid against your kind donation to increase the impact of your kind donation.
